Summer Ballet & Contemporary Intensives 2026
To Inspire the Artist Within
Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts summer intensive is led by Artistic Director Sherri Davis and a panel of professional instructors and guest artists. Our Summer Intensive Workshops focus on developing well-rounded dancers by offering exposure to classical repertoire with an emphasis on classical ballet technique and contemporary training.
Dancers must audition for placement for these intensives.
Ballet Intensives are for ages 9&up.
Ballet Open Classes
Ages 9&up
For the Intermediate to Advanced level ballet dancer. These are not part of the 3- week Summer Intensives.
Dancers must audition to be placed in Ballet Open Classes for the Summer.
June 15th - June 19th, 2026| PTC Location
Classes run:
2:30 - 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday (Intermediate/Advanced - Advanced - Per Placement)
5:00 - 7:00 pm, Monday - Friday (Intermediate - Per Placement)
Tuition is $225.00
Students must Audition to be placed in Ballet Open Classes and Intensives - See Audition Info HERE
Summer Ballet & Contemporary Intensives
Pre-Professional Level I
Per Placement. Students will perform at the end of the two-week session.
Classes include Ballet, Pre-Pointe or Pointe (if applicable), Variations, Contemporary, Ballet Repertoire and/or
Contemporary original choreography.
NOTE: Placement is based on level and not based on age of student - (for ages 9&up)
July 13th - July 24th, 2026
Classes run 10:00am - 4:00pm, Monday – Friday.
Tuition is $1400 for two-week intensive (50 hours of instruction).
Pre-Professional Level I Intensive will be taught by Guest Artists (TBD) and GAD Artistic Staff.
No registration fee required. Please note that Summer Programs are non-refundable.
Students will have an In-Studio Performance at end of Intensive.
Pre-Professional Level II & III
Per Placement. Students will perform at the end of the 3-week session.
Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Variations and/or Pas de deux Class, Contemporary and Ballet Repertoire and/or Original Choreography.
NOTE: Placement is based on level and not based on age of student - (for ages 12&up)
July 06th – July 24th, 2026
Classes run 10:00am - 4:00pm, Monday – Friday.
Tuition is $2000 for three-week intensive (75 hours of Instruction).
Pre-Professional Level II & III Intensives will be taught by Guest Artists (TBD) and GAD Artistic Staff.
No registration fee required. Please note that Summer Programs are non-refundable.
Students will have an In-Studio Performance at end of Intensive.
***Previous Guest Artists include professionals from American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet/Chicago, Broadway Dance Centre of New York, Atlanta Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Smuin Ballet, Feld Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ballet Hispanico, and New York City Ballet.
