Rehearsal Director

Alison Caspersen is a highly accomplished dancer and educator with a rich background in ballet and contemporary dance. Originally from Edwards, Colorado, she began her training at the Vail Valley Academy of Dance under the guidance of Anne Powell and Karen Samuelson. To further her education, she attended several prestigious institutions, including The Rock School for Dance Education in Pennsylvania, Milwaukee Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Washington Ballet, and Kaatsbaan. Notably, she participated in the Helen Pickett Choreographic Essentials Workshop in 2014.​

Caspersen achieved professional trainee status with Ballet Austin, where she performed in their production of *The Nutcracker*, choreographed by Artistic Director Stephen Mills. She then continued her training at Atlanta Ballet as a Conservatory dancer and contracted Fellowship artist. During her time there, she took on significant roles in productions such as *The Nutcracker*, *Pinocchio*, and the featured role of the Evil Queen in *Snow White*.

In addition to her performance career, Ms. Caspersen has dedicated herself to teaching dance. She taught Early Childhood, Ballet, and Contemporary classes at the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education and served as a ballet educator at Ballet Austin. ​

As a Leading Artist for seven seasons of Georgia Dance Theatre professional company, Ms. Caspersen danced multiple lead roles including Swanilda in Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts' production of Coppelia and Sugar Plum Fairy in Georgia Dance Theatre's Nutcracker Ballet.

Ms. Caspersen is the Rehearsal Director of Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts. Ms. Caspersen is a member of the Board of Directors of Georgia Dance Theatre. Ms. Caspersen teaches all levels and genres of dance at the Georgia Academy of Dance & the Performing Arts.
