Ballet is the most beneficial form of dance for body placement and is the best foundation for all other dance forms. We do not require all students to take ballet; however, we highly recommend this very important instruction if any student wishes to improve technique and move on to more advanced levels of dance.

All Pre-Professional Level (1 ½ hour) ballet classes require a minimum of two classes per week.

DRESS

Black leotard, Capezio theatrical pink seamless tights, pink Capezio ballet shoes with elastic sewn in. Short black chiffon skirts may be worn if desired, but are not required. Hair must be worn in a bun off the neck. 1 ½ hour ballet classes must wear black spaghetti strap leotards and no skirts.

Males – Black tights, white shirt, black ballet shoes.

Pre-professional levels – Black spaghetti strap leotard, pink Capezio seamless theatrical pink tights, pink canvas or leather split sole ballet shoes. No skirts.

Pointe and Variations – Any color leotard, pink Capezio seamless tights, any color chiffon skirt.
